Summary

We can define theories as windows, because they give us different perspectives and points of view.

There are three types of perspectives:

1.- Behaviorism:  - Considers the mind as a black box.

                           - Regular responses.

                           - Its instruction is according to repetition and reinforcement (practice).

2.- Cognitivism:   - Considers the mind as a computer.

                           - Defines learning as a recall of store information (Storage: long-term memory).

                           - Its instruction is according to grabbing attention and helping storage.

3.- Constructivism:  -  Considers the mind as a rhizome.

                               - Define learning as a building of knowledge by doing.

                               - Its instruction is guiding solving problems.

Then we have two types of theory:

*Descriptive: Is the learning theory and describes "what learning is?".

*Prescriptive: Is an instructional theory that gives us methods to foster learning and "how do we help people learn?".

workshop 3

In my opinion, all of the presentations can be an input of us as future teachers.
We need to take all of this knowledge and advice ,to complete our skills ,methods  and habilities  that are going to be very helpful for us , when we presented  ourselves in front of a class .
It doesn't matter what character we choose , the important thing is that we can be able to apply the advice , but also ,with our own modifications and personal touches, that characterize us as teachers.

In my opinion, I think that this workshop is going to help me with my  practice, for example
I can get some of the idea of the infromation and use it in the class or maybe I can compare it with what's
going on in the class .
I think that is the important of this workshop try to take the positive of the information and use it

well ,I think that this course is about new methodologies for the education and how the teachers can use this strategies for the students benefit.
As for me that's what I hope this course give me , new strategies to show the english to the students and of course new ways to make them more easy to understand the lenguage .
